Alternate Nostril Breathing (Anuloma Viloma)

 Alternate Nostril breathing is powerful practice in yoga that has amazing benefits for the body and mind. As its name suggests, it involves alternating the breath between the left and right nostrils.

This practice helps balance the two hemispheres of the brain and regulate the flow of prana, or life force energy, in the body and mind.

It is also a wonderful practice to balance the nervous system helping reduce stress, anxiety and facilitating a good nights sleep. 

This breathing essentially brings balance within the systems of the body and calms the mind. 

You can practice this in the morning or evening. 

Avoid practicing if you have a cold or blocked nose.
